Kayak Tour: Finding Balance on the Blackwater

Wednesday, June 2nd at 10 a.m. (make-up day is Monday, June 7th in case of rain)

$15 per person (each participant must register, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian or adult)

Limited spots available, register today!

Join us to discover ecology and history on one of Florida's most beautiful waterways! The tour will last between one and two hours and we will be traveling at a leisurely pace approximately 1.6 miles down the Blackwater River in a loop. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, bring sunscreen, water, snacks, your watercraft (kayak, canoe, paddle board, etc.- must be non-motorized), and a personal flotation device (PFD).

We will meet at 10:00 am at the Bagdad Mill Site Park Kayak Launch (6952 Cross Street, Milton, FL 32583) for a safety briefing and an introduction before we set out on the water. There is limited parking available at the Bagdad Mill Site Park Kayak Launch, but plenty of parking is available at the Bagdad Mill Site Park located right next to it. You can offload your watercraft at the kayak launch, and if there aren't enough parking spots there you can plan to just park your vehicle next door at the main park and take a short walk through the trail that connects them.

Cancellation Policy- A full refund will be issued if the tour is canceled by the organizers due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. No other refunds will be issued.

Waiver- All participants must sign a Liability Release Form before launching. You are welcome to bring it the day of the tour, but we will also have extras.
